Do Police Officers Need to Attend Class to Obtain a Utah Concealed Carry Permit?
Active police officers do not need to pay the fee for, nor attend a Utah Concealed Weapons Permit class. They simply need to provide BCI with a letter from their commanding officer stating that they are in good standing. The normal application fee is also waived by BCI. In the square box on the Utah Concealed Firearm Permit Application, where the instructor normally affixes their red stamp, the police officer simply needs to write "LEO". That's all that is required... Thanks for serving and keeping the peace.
Everyone else... please register on our Utah Concealed Carry Permit website to attend our Utah CCW class so you can obtain your Utah Concealed Firearm Permit.Mike Munnerlyn, Instructor Utah Concealed Carry Permit MMunnerlyn@Gmail.com (801) 201-0369
